WHY USE A RETRACTABLE SURFACE MOUNT FIXTURE?
Many owners, designers, engineers and architects go to great lengths to achieve a particular style
of architecture. A quality design will encompass all facets within the overall theme. Often
compromises must be made in order to provide the necessary exterior lighting for safety and/or
code reasons. Light fixtures are most visible in the daylight. Our retractable lights become part of
the architect and do not detract from a desired look. Our Patented retractable lighting fixture
provides a unique design option while providing superior area lighting.
RETRACTABLE DESIGN:
Retractable Lights Inc. Manufactures lighting fixtures that have excellent photo metrics with an
extremely low profile. This is accomplished by retracting the lamp housing into a recessed body
when the lamp is not in use. The following photos show the fixture in a “closed position”, “full cut-
off position”, and a “45° flood position”.

FLEXIBLE DESIGN:
The retractable light can be aimed in the field to achieve the desired light coverage. This is
accomplished by simply loosening the adjustment bolt, positioning the fixture to the desired angle,
and re-tightening the adjustment bolt. The light fixture will automatically open to the set position
anytime power is applied. The fixture closes when power is turned off. There is no need for
additional circuitry within the building. This is a great feature for retro-fitting an existing
installation. No additional wiring needs to be done to install this light fixture. Any conventional light
switch, time clock, photo cell, or motion detector will turn on and off this retractable wall pack.

without exception, all the time every time. Our drive system does just that. During the development stage we
tried many types of actuators. The picture below is a sample of some of the systems we tried and tested.
During this development, we came up with a system so durable and efficient; we have a Patent Pending on it.

* Proven track record for existing technology
